Suspect sought in stabbing death

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect in the murder of one of two local residents early Saturday morning outside of a Greenville skating rink.

The Greenville Police Department issued a statement Monday evening, indicating Justice of the Peace Aaron Williams had issued the warrant for Heriberto Borrego.

 

Borrego is wanted on one count of murder in connection with the stabbing death of Ljorian Marquis Harris.

Borrego was described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is five-foot-six inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds and is a Greenville resident.

Borrego should be considered dangerous, according to the Greenville Police Department.  Anyone with information concerning Borrego’s whereabouts should contact the Department at 903-457-2900. Crimestoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to Borrego’s arrest. Crimestoppers can be reached at 903-457-2929.

The police department is continuing to investigate Harris’ murder and the murder of Darrius Diondre Hubbard and the other assaults that took place at Skate Safari at 3 a.m., Saturday.

Two people were killed and several others wounded, one critically, during the fight at the business.

In all, seven more people were reported injured, with one victim sent to the intensive care unit at Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville.

The identities of the wounded and their conditions were not available Monday.
