Diane Stegall with Modern Woodmen of America presented Pam Toon with the “Hometown Hero” Volunteer Award during a recent Cooper ISD Board of Trustees meeting. Toon goes “above and beyond” to volunteer for the Cooper Elementary. The award came with a $100 voucher which will be presented to LiLi’s Legacy – a non-profit organization which providing financial relief to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Jill Hinton, English Language Arts teacher at Roxton ISD was also given with the “Hometown Hero” Volunteer Award. With the award Hinton chose the Roxton Food Pantry as her charitable organization and Modern Woodmen of America made a $100 donation to the Roxton Food Pantry in honor of Jill.
