Guaranty Bank & Trust To Award Charity Funds

Guaranty Gives Back 2016 campaign hosted by Guaranty Bank & Trust has started taking votes. Online voting poll will close on Dec. 30, 2016.

Guaranty Bank & Trust will be awarding up to $2,500 to one of these charities that receives the most votes online: Brightstar Baseball in Sulphur Springs, Titus County Cares in Mount Pleasant, SPCA of Texas in Dallas, Hallsville Outreach Center in Hallsville, East Texas CASA, CASA of Denton County, Paris Food Pantry in Paris, Commerce Lil’ Angels in Commerce, Shattered Dreams in Atlanta, Community Food Bank of Franklin County in Mount Vernon, Camp County Christmas for Kids in Pittsburg, Operation Christmas Child in Bogata, Hands on Texarkana, Rainbow Room at Bowie County CPS in New Boston, Twin City Mission in Bryan.

The charity’s YouTube video to receive the most votes on a link on the Guaranty Bank & Trust Facebook page will win. Brightstar Baseball’s video featuring Sulphur Springs pediatric Dr. Tod Conner is leading the votes with 2,046 with Titus County Cares in Mount Pleasant taking in 1,815 votes so far and SPCA of Texas in Dallas with 1,032.

In Dr. Conner's video he explains the Brightstar Baseball program is for special needs children ages 5 to 18 years to which with the help of the City of Sulphur Springs they would like to build an all purpose, all weather field. This baseball programs competes for six weeks in the Fall and six weeks in the Spring on Monday nights in Sulphur Springs. He invites everyone to come out and watch these children compete and he appreciates Guaranty Bank & Trust to allowing them to earn more funds towards this goal.

The bank will be dispersing $6,000 total in their second year for this campaign. The top charity will receive $2,500, second will receive $1,000 and the rest of those being voted on will get $200. One vote per day allowed.

The winners will be announced on the bank’s Facebook page on Dec. 31, 2016.
