The Texas Medical Board has temporarily suspended the license of a Sherman doctor who’s been accused of over-prescribing opioids.
A medical board panel yesterday determined that allowing Howard Diamond to continue practicing medicine would pose a continuing threat to public welfare. In a press release, the board cited Diamond's federal indictment, which implicates Diamond in at least seven deaths. The board stated that the indictment indicates "an alleged pattern of practice" deemed too risky for public safety.
