Mosquito Fogging, Demolitions Top Cooper City Meeting

In a regular Cooper City Council meeting the demolition of the four sites on 440 N.W. 3rd, 700 E. Commerce, 820 S.W. 4th, and 411 W. Ft. Worth for issues including electrical, sanitation, and safety were approved. The work will be done by Sanitation Solutions.

With the neighboring threat of diseases spread by mosquitoes the Council decided in favor of mosquito fogging. The City has utilized text, e-mail, and website alerts informing citizens of fogging times, dates.

The Council authorizing an interlocal agreement between the City of Cooper and Delta County Sheriff department for the use of the water treatment plant facilities for their firearm qualification site which will be for the Sheriff department’s use only.

The next City Council meeting will be held September 18, 2017 at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
