Dr. Hendricks Leads A&M-C Students On Hurricane Harvey Christmas Recovery Trip

Texas A&M University-Commerce

Dr. LaVelle Hendricks, associate professor of counseling at Texas A&M-Commerce, took a class of his students to the Gulf Coast shortly after Hurricane Harvey to aid in the recovery, and will take a "mini-mester" class back to the area affected by Harvey the week of December 17.  They're collecting toys and other gifts for children to take with them, and they'll aid in further recovery efforts.  He says the A&M-Commerce women's basketball team will also be helping.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
