Sports Illustrated Says Former Mavs CEO Sexually Harassed Female Employees

An investigative report published by Sports Illustrated Tuesday claims former Dallas Mavericks team president and CEO Terdeema Ussery sexually harassed and groped female employees at various points throughout his tenure.

The Mavericks issued a press release just before the SI story was published yesterday. The team says it takes the accusations “Very seriously.”

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told Sports Illustrated that he wasn’t aware of the problem but will take steps to fix it. Ussery was originally investigated for similar claims in 1998. That was two years before Cuban bought into the team.

Ussery denies the claims. He told Sports Illustrated he was “deeply disappointed that anonymous sources have made such outright false and inflammatory accusations against me.”
