A 31 year-old Celeste man shot by deputies in 2016 is suing the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.
The Herald-Banner reported today that Scott Sipe is seeking $2.5 million in damages and an additional $87,000 in medical expenses. Sipe allegedly had made abusive calls to 911 two years ago. He then allegedly attacked a deputy and was TASERed and then shot.
An August trial ended in a hung jury. In December, Sipe pled guilty to resisting arrest.
