Accident Sends A&M-Commerce Students to the Hospital

UPDATED 7:15 p.m., Nov. 27, 2018: The students are in stable condition at regional hospitals, according to a statement by Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Three Texas A&M University-Commerce students are in the hospital following a crash that shut down parts of State Highway 24 in Campbell Tuesday morning.

In a statement, the university said five students were involved in the crash. The Commerce Journal reports that a pickup truck and a car collided outside the A&M-Commerce Animal Science facility parking lot.

The driver of the truck was not seriously hurt, but three of the four people in the car were taken to the hospital.

The names of those involved in the crash were not released and there is no word on their condition.
