Lori Cope, director of the Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Hunt County, says Friday (April 5) is the annual "Go Blue Day" observance, when CASA supporters wear blue to focus attention on child abuse and neglect.  CASA volunteers, leaders and supporters gather on the steps of the Hunt County Courthouse at noon, followed by an open house with free hot dogs at the CASA office across Lee Street from the courthouse.  April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.
