Hopkins County Crime Rate Lowest In At Least 19 Years

Emily Glass, vice president with Alliance Bank in Sulphur Springs, comments on news that the Hopkins County crime rate is the lowest in 19 years, KSST radio reported. Only 47 crimes were reported to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office from January 1-June 30, compared to 214 crimes reported in the same period of 2001.  Also, Sulphur Springs is getting a new industry, "My Perfect Pet," which will manufacture gourmet pet food in the 20,000 square foot building.
