In Wolfe City this week, water service is being interrupted at some locations as new valves are being installed into the municipal water system. Today, Wolfe City government announced that the southwest quadrant of the city would be affected intermittently this week through Friday. The city added that timelines for outages won’t be available, but that there will not be any outages overnight. The statements identified Highway 34 south of County Road 1010 and the area around Highway 34 and Crockett Street as locations where water service will be interrupted.
In Greenville this week, construction along Traders Road will disrupt normal traffic patterns beginning tomorrow. Traders Road connects Highway 23 with Jack Finney Boulevard south of Interstate 30. The eastbound lanes of Traders Road will be closed starting on Tuesday. No timeline for the completion of the construction was given by the city. Center Point Road is an alternate east-west thoroughfare in that area.
Checking KETR’s regional government calendar, a number of regular meetings are scheduled for tomorrow. In Paris, the Lamar County Commissioner’s Court is scheduled to meet at 9 Tuesday. In Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County Commissioners are set to meet at 10. And Tuesday evening, two city council meetings are scheduled. The Greenville and Famersville city councils both have regular meetings slated for 6 o’clock Tuesday evening.
