A man was found shot to death in a Royse City driveway Sunday morning.

Royse City police have taken into custody three people in connection with a shooting last weekend that left one man dead. At about 5:45 a.m. last Sunday morning, Royse City police responded to a disturbance in the 5400 block of County Road 2526. Officers say they found a man shot to death in a driveway. The shooting victim has been identified by police as 43-year-old Larry Deshaun Baker of Madisonville, Texas.

Royse City police said in today’s statement that one of those in custody is a 43-year-old man from Royse City, who was renting the home where the shooting took place. Police say the man had already left the scene and fled on foot into a nearby wooded area. The suspect evaded police at the time but was arrested Monday. Two other people connected to the incident were arrested later this week. Royse City Police Chief Kirk Aldridge says the investigation is ongoing.
