Record set as early voting kicks off

NPR

GREENVILLE - If first day early voting totals are any indication, there seems to be strong interest among Hunt County citizens in the May 29 primaries.

According to Elections Administrator Mina Cook, the 622 total ballots cast both in person and by mail is nearly double that of the 2010 local primary elections and 100 more than the last presidential primary year in 2008.

Early voting for the Democratic and Republican Party primary election continues through May 25 at your local voter administration office.
