Justin Perry wins Saturday runoff for Leonard City Council

LEONARD - Perry, who received 68 percent of the vote, defeated Penny Edwards.

On May 12, voters were to fill two two vacancies on the city council. Margy Hall finished with the most votes, while Perry and Edwards tied for second, forcing the runoff.

Meanwhile, six local and numerous statewide runoff races emerged from the May 29 primary, which is scheduled for July 31. Early voting is still roughly a month away.
