Cities, School Boards to Conduct Elections this November

NPR

In addition to the national, statewide and countywide races, some local citizens will be choosing between city council and school board members.

Residents served by the Boles and Cumby independent school districts will be voting for their boards of trustees, and voters in West Tawakoni will be casting ballots for their city council. The entities chose to move their elections this year from May to November, so as not to conflict with the rescheduled political party primary elections, also held in May.

The City of Point in Rains County will also conduct council elections this November to coincide with the November General Election.

The deadline to register to vote in the November 6 General Election is Tuesday, Oct. 8.
