Lisa Loeb

Businesswoman, philanthropist, public radio listener, actress, and singer-songwriter are just a few descriptions for Dallas native Lisa Loeb. Her '90's hit "Stay (I Missed You)" still resounds more than 25 years later, and her iconic glasses spawned her own Lisa Loeb Eyewear collection.

After several albums geared more towards children, Loeb is back to her roots on the heartfelt new record "A Simple Trick To Happiness." Notably Texan caught up with Lisa to discuss the music on the new release, her memories of growing up in Dallas, and of course, those signature spectacles.

More info and links can be found at Lisa Loeb's website.

Listen to Notably Texan for music by Texans of all styles and genres, and occasional interviews such as this, weekdays from 11am-2pm on KETR.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
