Dr. Nick Patras, director of the Texas A&M-Commerce Counseling Center, says the speaker for "Mental Health Matters Day" at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ferguson Auditorium is J.R. Martinez, who survived being severely burned as a U.S. Army solider in Iraq, to become an actor on the TV soap opera "All My Children," to win the "Dancing with the Stars" TV reality show, and to become a best-selling author. The event is free and the first 300 students attending will receive a free copy of J.R.'s book "Full of Heart."
