Sulphur Springs Career & Technical Education Program Helps Students Prepare For Life

KETR

Emily Glass, former Sulphur Springs mayor and our commentator on events in the city, discusses the Sulphur Springs High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, which recently added a program for students interested in pharmacological careers. The CTE program lets students focus on career education, with many earning certification in specific career fields. We also discuss the hiring of new Sulphur Springs head football coach Brandon Faircloth, who comes to SSHS after a long tenure as head coach at Port Neches-Groves. He succeeds long-time Wildcat coach Greg Owens, who is retiring.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
