SCRPT Receives $32,000 From Leadership Hunt County; Concern For Elder Abuse In County

Trina Coldiron, community liaison specialist with SCRPT (the Senior Center Resource Center and Public Transit) of Greenville, says SCRPT recently received $32,745.50 from the Leadership Hunt County class of 2021 to for a new vehicle dedicated to providing nutrition services and related costs.

SCRPT recently observed Elder Abuse Day, obtaining a declaration from Hunt County Judge Bobby Stovall. Trina says 364 incidents of elder abuse were reported in Hunt County in 2021, according to the Texas Department of Adult Protective Services, the highest number in the region.
