Student fees at Texas A&M University-Commerce could be increasing again in 2022. The university will be holding a public hearing on proposed fee increases next Thursday. Today on campus, a small group of Texas State Employees Union members and graduate students passed out fliers encouraging student attendance at the forum, scheduled for 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Sam Rayburn Student Center.

  • Texas A&M University-Commerce student fees could be increasing again in 2022. The university will be holding a public hearing on fee increases next Thursday. Today on campus, a small group of Texas State Employees Union members and graduate students passed out fliers encouraging student attendance at the forum. State law requires that colleges and universities hold hearings in advance of any fee increases. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Sam Rayburn Student Center on the campus of A&M-Commerce.
  • A new federal study estimates COVID-19 vaccinations prevented about 9,700 hospitalizations and around 3,600 deaths among Medicare beneficiaries in Texas. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services examined how vaccinations affected health outcomes during the first five months of the year. Nationwide, HHS estimates a reduction of nearly 39,000 deaths among Medicare beneficiaries.
