In Hunt County, the number of active COVID-19 cases has declined for the fourth consecutive day.

  • The City of Sulphur Springs is applying for a federal grant to develop the former Thermo mine site located on the southeast side of the city. The Thermo site is one of several former mining locations in Northeast Texas looking to participate in the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Build Back Better program.
  • The number of active COVID-19 cases in Hunt County declined for the fourth consective day on Wednesday. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Hopkins County declined for the third consective day.
  • Highway 19 Construction, LLC, has secured a contract with the Texas Department of Transportation for bridge repair projects in Delta and Lamar counties.
