High northwesterly winds gusting to 50 MPH caused electrical outages and safety hazards across Northeast Texas today.

  • High winds across Northeast Texas casued power outages, surges, and safety hazards across the region today. Sustained northwesterly winds around 30 MPH, gusting to 50, downed power lines and scattered tree branches and other debris on area roadways. Oncor and other electrical service providers reported thousands of customers experiencing interreputions in service.
  • Tonight, lows near 50 with northwesterly winds 20-25 MPH, gusting to 30. On Friday, mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
