This week, Luke recaps a fishing trip to Lake Lavon a couple days ago with Guide Brandon Sargent (Lead Slingers Guide Service 469-989-1010) and retired guide Billy Kilpatrick who guided crappie trips for almost a quarter century on Lake Lavon. In the remainder of the show, Luke gives some information about planning a trip to fish remote fly in lakes in Canada.

    Lake Caddo offers a smorgasbord of fishing opportunities and for many years Luke relied on his long time friend guide Billy Carter to keep him informed and to supply fuel for his articles in newspapers and magazines. Billy passed away a year or so ago and with his passing went a lifetime of fishing and hunting knowledge pertaining to this beautiful part of Texas. Luckily, Dottie Carter, Billy's wife, put Luke in contact with guide Chaz Warren who grew up on the lake fishing with older guides such as Carter and Henry Lewis. Chaz operates out of Johnson's Ranch Marina and like Billy Carter, fishes for white and yellow bass, catfish and crappie.
