Lions to host Eastern New Mexico, wear ETSU throwbacks

Saturday's football game vs. Eastern New Mexico will be the 2015 Military Appreciation Game with tickets for active military, military veterans free and their families for $5.

Texas A&M University-Commerce, fresh off of its 37-17 win on the road in the first Lone Star Conference test of the season at Kingsville, will turn around and host Eastern New Mexico Saturday, September 26 at 7 p.m. in Memorial Stadium as part of the departments' All-Sport Reunion Weekend and as the Military Appreciation Game.

The Lions will wear throwback East Texas State University uniforms, last worn on the turf in Memorial Stadium during the 1995 season, when following the season the school joined the Texas A&M system and had its name changed to Texas A&M University-Commerce.

The All-Sports Reunion Weekend is an on-going part of the Lions Athletics 100 Seasons celebration.

At Saturday's football game, the Lions will also recognize the 20-year reunion of the 1995 football, the last Lion football team to make it into the NCAA Division II Playoff and finished the season at 9-3.
