FORT WORTH- The No. 22 Army Black Knights ran their way into the record book in a dominant win over the Houston Cougars 70-14 in the 2018 Armed Forces Bowl.

Army (11-2) established a new program record for wins in a season, finishing the year on a nine-game winning streak, while their triple option rushing attack established new Armed Forces Bowl records with 592 total yards, 507 on the ground, the first team to gain that many yards on the ground in a bowl game since 2015. The 70 points scored and 56-point margin of victory also tied FBS bowl records.

FORT WORTH- For the second straight year, the winner of the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl was not decided until the final 20 seconds of the game. Unlike last year, this time the service academies got the last laugh as Army’s Darnell Woolfolk capped off a 15-play drive with a touchdown from a yard out with 18 seconds remaining to lead Army to a 42-35 win over San Diego State.

The Black Knights (10-3) still trailed 35-34 after the score, but knew they were going to go for a two-point conversion if they scored a touchdown before the drive began.
