Antonio DeWayne Butler sought in Greenville shooting

GREENVILLE - The Greenville Police Department has released the identity and a photo of the suspect in Monday morning’s shooting that left one man critically injured.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Antonio DeWayne Butler, a black male who stands approximately 5’8’’ tall and weighs approximately 168 pounds.

The victim, 19-year-old Waylon G. Duffy, has been upgraded to stable condition a day after undergoing surgery at Hunt Regional Medical Center.

At approximately 1:07 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a call of a man with a gun in the 4000 block of Pepperport Drive. There, authorities found Duffy, who had suffered a gunshot wound.
