Construction on schedule for new Science and Technology building on A&M-Commerce campus

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce – Construction is right on schedule for the new $28 million Science and Technology building on the A&M-Commerce campus. The structure will be the first purely academic building built on campus in the past 25 years, and University President Keith McFarland was pleased with the construction process so far.

MCFARLAND: It seems like most places around the state...its kind of rare when they finish on schedule. But they're right on schedule at this time, and all indications are that, in early December, they'll have that building complete and they'll turn it over to us.

McFarland said the building should be completely finished and ready to begin holding classes by January, 2006.
