Registration this week at Commerce ISD

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – Registration for the Commerce Independent School District begins tomorrow and runs through Wednesday. The one-stop registration will allow CISD students and parents to complete all paperwork, check on immunization status, receive bus route information and obtain access to student grades.

New students and their parents are to bring their birth certificate, shot records and withdrawal from previous school. Returning students or students pre-registered at Commerce Elementary School need to attend to verify their address and contact information.

New students can attend tomorrow morning anytime between 7:30 a.m. and noon. Returning students have the option of coming in tomorrow afternoon between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., or Wednesday between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

A shot clinic will also be held Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m.

Middle school and high school students can pick up schedules. This will also be a good chance for students to meet the new high school principal, Virdie Montgomery.
Clothing assistance applications will be available, while community organizations plan to help families with standardized dress compliance and school supplies.

The schoolwide registration also features door prizes and information verifications booths to ensure emergency contact numbers are up to date.

Classes at the Commerce Independent School District begin August 25.
