Greenville fire chief steps down

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – There will be a change at the Greenville Fire Department. Fire Chief Raul Reyes Jr., who had been a finalist for the position of chief of the fire department in Austin, handed in his resignation Monday. Reyes cited personal reasons for leaving. Deputy Fire Chief Dough Caison has been appointed Interim Fire Chief and a search for a new fire chief is said to begin soon. Reyes was hired in May, becoming Greenville's third fire chief in five years.
