Commerce man arrersted for reported abduction

Commerce – A Commerce man is arrested in connection to a reported abduction in the city.

Martez Demond Kimble was taken into custody Monday night and charged with multiple counts.

A woman was alleged to have been abducted from the Commerce Subway restaurant Monday evening. She was able to get away from Kimble at Wal-Mart where she met up with friends and called 911.

Kimble was spotted in town a short time later, arrested for two outstanding local warrants and also charged with violation of a protective order, assault, and unlawful restraint. Kimble was already on probation for felony counts of stalking, violation of a protective order and robbery.
