Amnesty period near end in Greenville

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Time is running out for those with outstanding warrants in Greenville.

Approximately 1,000 people still owe more than $1 million in fines and court costs to the City of Greenville. Any of those individuals could face arrest later this month, if they don't settle their debts within the next two days.

Those owing fines have today and tomorrow left in an amnesty period, which will allow them to clear their records before a planned crackdown by law enforcement.

Those wishing to pay their fine can call 903-457-3129 or visit the Greenville Municipal Court downtown.
