Commerce – Residents are encouraged to attend an organization meeting of the Keep Commerce Beautiful (KCB) Committee Thursday at City Hall.
The committee will be directed by Former Chamber Manager Barbara Kersey, with Tylene Gearhard, co-directing. According to Kersey, Keep Commerce Beautiful will be partnering with the Commerce Beautification Commission, who will serve as an advisory group.
Proposed sub-committees include Public School Education/Involvement, Public Awareness, Litter Prevention, Beautification, Financial/Fund Raising, Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) Awards and Solid Waste Management (includes recycling and environmental issues).
Thursday's meeting will be used to discuss a mission statement, logo, by-laws, and hear comments from those present. It will take place Thursday, March 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1119 Alamo St.
