Saturday ceremony to honor local heroes

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Three of the individuals who took action during a fatal shooting at the Commerce Wal-Mart earlier this year are to be recognized this weekend.

Wal-Mart employee Nancy Druda, alongside Commerce Police Department Lieutenant Terry Miller and Patrol Office James Hildebrand will be among the individuals honored Saturday at Greenville's W. Walworth Harrison Public Library. It's part of the annual Community Service Awards presentation, hosted by the Ambassador Fletcher Warren Chapter of the Texas Society Sons of the American Revolution.

The public is invited to the event, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The March 7 incident resulted in the shooting death of Artenio Rodriguez.
