Large scale theft ring trial set in Hunt County

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A September trial date is set for a Tarrant County woman, allegedly involved in an organized theft ring that targeted multiple Wal-Marts in the region.

Hillary Lynn Clark pleaded not guilty to the charges Monday.

Clark is one of three people, all from Arlington, who were arrested at the Commerce Wal-Mart following a reported theft in 2009.

Once arrested, police found inside the suspects' vehicle several items allegedly stolen from the Wal-Mart in Quinlan, along with receipts from several area Wal-Marts, including the Metroplex. Officers also found inside the vehicle a receipt printer and bar code scanner, that allegedly allowed the suspects to create false receipts for the stolen merchandise, and then return the items for cash.
