Forgery thieves alleged to have stolen thousands

By Scott Harvey

Sulphur Springs – Two separate forgery cases are under investigation in Sulphur Springs after two men reported having thousands stolen from their accounts.

Police say the suspect's retrieved more than $1300 out of a Sulphur Springs man's account, and over $12,000 from a Mt. Pleasant man's account.

One victim says he doesn't even use checks, and feels the suspects may have made their own. Another said he believes newly ordered checks may have been stolen out of his mailbox.
