Hopkins County – Illegal burning is reportedly to blame for a fire that destroyed a chicken house last night in Hopkins County.
There were no injuries. The incident occurred on CR3369 in Pine Forest at around 5:30 p.m.
Firefighters from Hopkins County as well as volunteers from nine departments battled the blaze for about an hour and a half. Firefighters from Winnsboro and South Franklin provided mutual aid, and the local Red Cross provided rehab to firefighters.
