Commerce – The new residence hall at Texas A&M University-Commerce begins to house its inaugural class of students this week as freshmen arrive on campus.
Crews have put the final touches on the 82,000 square foot facility, which had an estimated cost of around $14 million. The three-story, 250 bed residence hall which sits at the corner of Hwy 50 and Culver St is part of an effort to increase the number of students living on campus. Crews paved the way for the new structure last summer by demolishing five West Hall dormitories that were approximately 50 years old.
Classes at A&M-Commerce begin Monday.
