GREENVILLE - Jail time awaits a Kaufman County man who is currently hospitalized in critical condition after being shot multiple times Saturday night.
Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks says Ricki Dwayne Miles, of Terrell, attempted to run over two people with a pickup truck that he allegedly stole out of Greenville that evening. Meeks says police gave chase but lost the vehicle along Interstate 30.
But authorities were later called to a residence along CR 2323 where they found a male subject holding Miles at gunpoint. Miles allegedly had attempted to run over two male subjects at the residence with the stolen pickup.
