Downtown Commerce on Saturday will be the scene for two events open to the public: Taste of Commerce, a fundrasier for local school bands, and Touch-a-Truck, a chance to get up close to some police, fire, and other official vehicles.
Taste of Commerce, presented by Commerce High School bands, offers donors an opportunity to sample foods from 19 local restaruants, which will have teables set up in the grsassy area on the square. Touch-a-Truck, presented by Commerce Police and Fire, will welcome curious folks of all ages to experience fire trucks as well as emergency vehicles and even boats.
The Commerce ISD Jazz Cats and the Texas A&M University-Commerce Panimation steel drum band will be providing musical entertainment.
