After Perry Mason (Warren William) finally ties the knot with his long-suffering secretary (Claire Dodd), their honeymoon is cut short by Eve Belter (Winifred Shaw), wife of newspaper owner George Belter (Joseph King). Eve wants Mason to stop George from publishing information about her affair with a local politician (Kenneth Harlan) in a gossip column. Soon, George is dead and Mason is the number one suspect.
