The Creative Arts Center in Bonham is holding an informative program on Honey Bees on Friday. Guest speaker Katie Capehart, a local beekeeper, will host the program. Admission is free and open to the general public, though you are asked to RSVP by calling 903-640-2196. The Creative Arts Center is open from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Tues.- Fri. and 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. on Saturday.
The Honey Bees program will run from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at the Creative Arts Center, located at 200 West 5th Street in Bonham.

Carter Bloodcare is holding a blood drive on Sunday. Running from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall of Commerce Church of Christ, located at 1900 Culver Street in Commerce.

Beginning the week of September 16 through December 9, preschoolers will have the opportunity to explore all that the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney, Texas has to offer. During each weekly program, we’ll meet one of the Heard’s live animal ambassadors and take a nature hike to explore different habitats from wetlands and forests to prairie and ponds. We’ll also prowl through museum exhibits, participate in hands-on science activities, sing songs, listen to stories, and play nature themed games! We’ll talk about our responsibility to nature and what we can do to help the plants and animals around us.
Pre-registration is required. Registration closes September 3. Non-members $240; Members $216 per semester (Per semester: 24 hour program/12 weeks).
