Sulphur Springs Senior Citizen Center is hosting free poker games each Tuesday at 11 a.m.
In partnership with the Honors College at East Texas A&M University, this summer discussion series is designed for current college students, high school students preparing for college, parents, and community members interested in learning more about navigating the college experience successfully.
Over the course of several weeks, participants will discuss Hacking College and explore topics such as:*Study skills *Time management *Campus involvement *Networking*Making the most of the college experience
The study will be facilitated by Dr. Erin Webster Garrett and Wyman Williams..
Book: Hacking College by Ned Scott Laff and Scott Carlson
Books will be provided to participants at the first session.

Dodd City VFD is holding its annual BBQ Cook-Off and Fundraiser on Saturday, June 6.
On Friday, June 5th, preliminary Events will include--Cooks Registration from 4-8pm-Cooks meeting at 8pm
Saturday, June 6th Events--Kids Baking Competition-Kids Cook-off (pork chop contest)-Cornhole Tournament-Silent Auction-Concession Stand-Vendor Booths-BBQ Competition- BBQ Awards
There will be $3,000 in Payouts for awards!

The Commerce Farmers Market opens on May 2, 2026 and will be open from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday until September! 🥳
Vendors will be selling fresh produce, crafts, food, and more!
The Bonham Farmers Market is held every other Saturday from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., starting April 4th and running through October 31st, 2026. It will be outside the Creative Arts Center, located at 200 W. Fifth Street in Bonham.
