Homeschool families and groups from across north Texas are invited to Homeschool Day at the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site in Paris on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, homeschool students, teachers, and parents can enjoy educational programs from local organizations, games, and more.
Admission to the event is only $1.00 for each person, which includes access to all activities and presentations.

The Caddo Mills Chamber of Commerce presents their 30th Annual Fox Fest on Saturday, May 4th!

Second Saturday Bird Walks in the Heard Wildlife Sanctuary are offered by volunteers from the Prairie & Timbers Audubon Society (PTAS). These bird walks are intended to help beginning and intermediate birders with bird spotting and identification techniques. There are also plenty of opportunities provided for participants to ask questions from experienced birders. Prairie, woodland, and wetland habitats are included in these walks.
Centered in Ladonia and Pecan Gap, Bug Tussle and Ben Franklin. Bring your appetite and get ready to shop! They will include guided activities done while walking, standing, and/or sitting along our trails. The trails and guided activities will change each month, making each walk a fresh experience.
