Kids Safe Saturday is an annual event hosted by Paris EMS to provide a positive message to children about safety. Each year we have different organizations come out to provide safety material in a safe and fun environment that children can understand. There will be bounce houses, hot dogs, barrel train, mechanical bull, and lots and lots of fun!

Fannin County Master Gardeners host a Rainwater Harvesting Workshop on May 8, 2026 from 9 am - 12 pm. Dean Minchillo, from the Texas Water Resources Institute, will be the guest speaker talking about ways to conserve water and save money! The optional afternoon session (1:30 pm - 2:30 pm) will be constructing a rain barrel harvesting system. Kits will be available for purchase at the door, but you will need to bring your own barrel. Recommendations are for a 35 gallon plastic trash can or a plastic food grade barrel.
On Saturday, May 8th, ETAMU will be hosting their first Swim Lesson Trial Day! For the low cost of $5/child, you will get a 45 minute lesson with an instructor from their staff.
