Homeschool families and groups from across north Texas are invited to Homeschool Day at the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site in Paris on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, homeschool students, teachers, and parents can enjoy educational programs from local organizations, games, and more.
Admission to the event is $3.00 for each person, which includes access to all activities and presentations.

Texas A&M University - Commerce hosts an event honoring Hispanic Heritage month on Wednesday. The event kicks off with a TAMUC Mariachi info session- featuring Drs. Tomas Espinosa and Eric Branscome.
Then, Alfredo Corchado, a retired journalist and acclaimed author, will give a presentation followed by a Q&A session. That’s starting at 5 p.m., at the Performing Arts Center on campus at A&M Commerce - located at 2101 University Drive.
