Bread of Life Food Pantry distributes free food to those in need. Family and Senior Commodity Boxes available at all distributions. Located at 301 Hwy 224, Commerce, TX. Most boxes consist of canned vegetables, rice, pasta, peanut butter, cereal, juice, and canned meat. We also offer frozen meat, bread and fresh produce when in stock. New clients bring a photo ID and proof of address. For example, current utility bill. Our distribution days are the first Friday after the first Wednesday 10:00am – 2:00pm for seniors 60 plus, and everyone younger from 12:00pm – 2:00pm and on the 3rd Wed of the month from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. We also offer Emergency Boxes to families who can’t wait for a distribution day. Volunteers and donations are always welcome. Thank you. Dodd City VFD is holding its annual BBQ Cook-Off and Fundraiser on Saturday, June 6.
On Friday, June 5th, preliminary Events will include--Cooks Registration from 4-8pm-Cooks meeting at 8pm
Saturday, June 6th Events--Kids Baking Competition-Kids Cook-off (pork chop contest)-Cornhole Tournament-Silent Auction-Concession Stand-Vendor Booths-BBQ Competition- BBQ Awards
There will be $3,000 in Payouts for awards!

City of Greenville and Hunt County residents have a permanent collection center for disposing of hazardous household waste products. This is available to residents of participating cities and residents in the unincorporated areas of Hunt County free of charge.
Important: The facility will be open on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m.and on the 4th Saturday of each month from 8 a.m.- noon.
