A wreck on Interstate 30 westbound near Rockwall has traffic at a standstill on May 6th, 2012.

A wreck involving a red two-door car had traffic at a complete halt Sunday on Interstate 30 just east of Rockwall.

At 12:50pm, multiple emergency vehicles were on scene as traffic is being diverted to the westbound service road.

Westbound I-30 traffic is encouraged to find an alternate route from Fate through to Rockwall. Suggested route is to exit at Fate and go a mile north to Hwy 66, which will take traffic to downtown Rockwall. Motorists might then head south to return to the interstate.

Update at 4:00 p.m. - Traffic back to normal along westbound I-30. Trooper's report from accident had not been filed.
