Chiggerfest.JPG

COOPER - The 18th annual Chiggerfest in Cooper is just days away, with events beginning Saturday morning on the main stage in front of City Hall.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 9 a.m. that day, includes a performance by the Cooper High School Mighty Maroon Band. The color guard will be presenting the flag while Amy Asbill Patrick sings the national anthem. Members of the Delta County armed forces will lead the pledge of allegiance.

A record number of vendors will be on hand all around the square with a wide variety of merchandise. Presented by the Delta County Chamber of Commerce, Chiggerfest also includes a 5K run/2 mile walk, bounce houses, a pet parade, arts and crafts, plus a health fair at the civic center.
