This week Alice reviews The Man from U.N.C.L.E., a re-make of a TV show from the 1960s, Straight Outta Compton, a look at the life of famous rap group NWA, and Shaun the Sheep Movie, a movie with no dialogue and some sheep on a mission.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. follows the same characters from the original TV show of the same name. The leads, Solo and Illya, are played by the dashing Henry Cavill and the dreamy Armie Hammer. Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Debicki join the cast as the female leads and love interests for the leading men. Alice really enjoyed all of their performances, but the script was all but impossible to follow. She does, however, recommend this movie, directed by Guy Ritchie, because the combination of the action and handsome men makes this movie something you shouldn't miss.

Straight Outta Compton follows the lives of rap group NWA, made up of Dr. Dre, played by Corey Hawkins, Ice Cube, played by his actual son O'Shea Jackson Jr., and Eazy-E, played by Jason Mitchell. It follows their rise to fame and fortune throughout the constant controversy around their lyrically explicit music. The film also shows the introduction of Snoop Dogg, played by Keith Stanfield, and a character that scared Alice, Suge Knight, played by R. Marcos Taylor. Alice was amazed by the likenesses most of the actors had for the real-life people they were portraying. She wasn't thrilled by the length of the movie, but she also couldn't think of anything she'd cut from it. If you don't mind some profanity, Alice suggests you go see this movie.

Shaun the Sheep Movieis a stop-motion animated movie from the same people that brought us Chicken Run and The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Shaun decides he wants a day off from his sheep routine, so he enlists the other members of his flock to trick the farmer into a nap and chaos ensues. Alice absolutely adored this movie, and suggests it for both children and adult.
