A lifelong love of music has inspired Commerce resident Jeremy Bellamy to pursue his dreams of writing and singing original songs. His young voice already sounds like that of an established rocker: powerful, gritty and full of energy. Bellamy is also learning to collaborate on music with other artists, namely the members of his newfound Garland band Livirian.

Notably Texan caught up with Jeremy during a visit to KETR to talk about his approach to songwriting and the latest on his music, and to play an original song live.

More about the band Livirian is available through their Facebook page.

Notably Texan airs weekdays from Noon-3pm on KETR.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
