Bob Livingston's music career spans almost 50 years. In that time, he's been a part of the Lost Gonzo Band, written songs and toured with icons like Jerry Jeff Walker, and he's been a music ambassador for the US State Department since the 1980's.
In addition to his regular touring, Bob's latest endeavors include a crowd-funded album in the works called Up The Flatland Stairs, a cross-cultural spinoff band called Cowboys and Indians, and a memoire he is writing for Texas Tech Press.
Matt Meinke caught up with Livingston from his home base in Austin.
